Zafar Iqbal

Zafar came to the UK in 1969. He read chemistry at University College Cardiff (Ph.D. 1989).He currently works for Woking Borough Council as a senior policy officer in corporate strategy and leads the Council’s community engagement strategy. Zafar has a wealth of experience in such diverse fields as scientific research (doctorate in chemistry) with published research papers, vocational training, and setting up a number of highly successful community organisations relating to education, inter-faith and business development in both the UK and Pakistan. This has provided him with extensive experience in project management as well as dealing and engaging effectively with people from all walks of life.
