WABF fundraising helps Nepal school following earthquake - 21-10-2016
WABF’s fundraising efforts have helped to get a school back up and running in Nepal after the earthquake

The school’s building were destructed by the last year’s devastating earthquake.

It has been the past one & half years since the devastating earthquake but the affected infrastructures have not been rebuilt yet and have remained the same. Two academic years are going to be ended. The shelters constructed temporarily are leaking though new building have not built instead.

Last earthquake & many aftershocks have lost the sense of children (pupils) who have not regained on them neither the fallen school buildings have been erected that cause many students to run away towards cities. Students who are remaining are victimized due to irregular classes& almost closed classes. The situation was such for last four months in Ganesh primary (basic) school in Ghairung-Jyamireswara in Gorkha district. Some helpful hands & hearts well convinced, as a result the destroyed building re-stood & students are happily studying.

Different organizations from England co-ordinated by Sahara UK/ Sahara Club Pokhara have constructed & was inaugurated by Arun Chaudhary (Pateron of the Sahara UK) as the chair person of foundation & CG group Nepal last Wednesday. He believed the help to school will be beneficial to the field of educational development. He expressed happiness to help the social organizations along with profession which is good example of satisfaction. "We helped in many places but we could not considered as meaningful and were not well utilized but this is the place we can gain real meaning" he added, " If we are not able to use our earning in social development then the earning is not what we expect for" He told, " We are obliged by this place" he expressed in serious mood & committed to return in this place again.

The chair person of Sahara club Pokhara Mr. Bir Bhadra Acharya said that physical development will support educational quality. He was worried about the decreasing of quality in education he suggested the nest amount to be saved. We support to helpless but it is not true that we only are able. He added our branches are able to get kind work. All are thanked ". The chair person of Sahara UK Dilip Gurung assured that they will continue their support in coming days on behalf of quality & technical education. The supporters are Sahara UK Aldershot FC UK, Chelsea FC UK , Arun Chadudary foundation, Shiraz Homes UK, Working Asian Business Form UK , Bourne End Rotary UK, Linden House & others "Post modern, technical & earth movement resistance eight roomed building has been constructed" said Sahara UK Vice President and Sahara UK earthquake victim rehabilitation co-ordinator Min Bahadur Gurung(Saila). According to him the total investment (expense) of that building is 3500000 NRs. Except that the school has been provided modern furniture & well fenced compound. The amount saved after construction will be saved as non loss fund of school & can be utilized as necessary Mr. Gurung added.

The school is located about 21 Km for from Gorkha district headquarter that has about 60 students. All students' parents & teachers are very happy after the construction of school. "Our schools are sick due to the earthquake" the Principal Gun Bahadur Thapa told. He further included" we are very pleased will plan for its long-lasting & sustainable progress. He committed that the educational quality will be increased as the physical development has almost completed. That will follow to develop as one of model school. Sahara club has performed different social works coordinating different helping hands the club has established the academic field who are suffer. Sahara UK Advisor Chandra Bahadur Gurung , Lalkaji Gurung,Yoges Gurung,Mrs Meena among others were also present on the occasion.

There are 28 underprivileged children street boys from all part of Nepal are currently in the Sahara academy hostel in Pokhara Nepal.
