Pakistan Flood Relief Fund Raising in Woking Town Centre - 10-01-2011
WABF volunteers collect £217 for Pakistan Floods at Woking Town Centre
During the height of the Christmas shopping rush in Woking town centre, including a blinding snowstorm and competing with at least eight other charity fundraisers at the same time, Woking Asian Business Forum volunteers received just over £217 in our buckets. These funds have gone to continuing support for the people who still suffer as a result of the massive floods in Pakistan earlier in the year.
You can follow our progress on www.wabf.org.uk and if you have any ideas how we can be even more supportive, we would love to hear from you. It will take years to get these people back to where they were before the floods, nevermind ahead of their poverty.
We just wanted to say a big, heartfelt thank you to the caring people who gave so generously. Every penny is helping to make a difference.
